Intraoral Camera
With our intraoral camera, you’ll finally be able to see your smile from your dentist’s point of view! This small, camera-tipped wand can be maneuvered easily through the mouth to capture highly-detailed images of the teeth and gums that can be instantly displayed on a nearby monitor. These images make it much easier for our team to catch dental issues early, plus they’ll help you gain a completely new understanding of your dental health.
Digital Dental X-Rays
Compared to traditional film-based X-rays, digital X-rays are a huge leap forward in almost every way you can imagine. They can create crystal-clear images in a matter of seconds, they don’t require toxic chemicals to be developed, and better yet, they emit up to 80% LESS radiation (which is great news especially for parents). Even better, we can easily blow up, color code, and rotate the images so you can go over and easily understand them with Dr. Hamel.
CT / Cone Beam Scanner
When we need a little more information about a patient than what a traditional 2D X-ray can tell us, that's when our CT/cone beam scanner comes into play. This device can create a fully 3D digital X-ray image of a patient’s teeth, jaw, skull, and surrounding soft tissues. It is especially useful when it comes to planning more complicated procedures such as dental implant placement or a wisdom tooth extraction.
The Wand
If you hate shots, then you’ll love The Wand. This small pen-like device works by applying a topical anesthetic to the treatment area before administering the rest of it very slowly and evenly. The end result? You basically feel nothing right before you feel nothing! This helps us take out that last little bit of discomfort a patient may be worrying about before they come to see us, ensuring they remain relaxed from check-in to checkout.
NuCalm Sedation Dentistry
Want a more natural way to get rid of your dental anxiety? With NuCalm, the serenity you’re looking for can be achieved 100% drug-free. It works by playing special neuroacoustic sounds through noise-canceling headphones which set your brain waves into a pattern that is similar to the state right before you fall asleep. On top of this, a small biosignal disc is placed on the inside of the left forearm so the soothing frequencies can be communicated throughout your body, and we also give you an eye mask to block out any potentially triggering visual stimuli. The end result is a complete state of relaxation from head to toe that will last for the entire appointment.
Primescan AC
Compared to traditional impressions, an intraoral scan with Primescan is faster and are more comfortable for the patient. Digital scans also have a higher degree of accuracy and are used to produce a 3D model of the area being restored.
